Microsoft DirectX is a set of tools (APIs) for handling multimedia tasks like gaming and video on Windows. DirectX acts as a middleman between game software and your computer’s hardware (graphics card, sound card, etc.). Instead of game developers writing different code for every possible graphics or audio card, they just write to DirectX’s standard commands. This makes game development faster and helps games run smoothly across many different PCs.
DirectX Requirements:
• Operating System: Windows 7, 8.10 or 11
• Graphics Card (GPU): NVIDIA GeForce GTX / AMD Radeon HD
• Processor (CPU): 1 GHz or faster
• RAM: 1 GB for 32-bit, 2 GB for 64-bit
