X-Men Origins is inspired by games like God of War and Devil May Cry, using a third-person view where players control Wolverine in fast and brutal combat. The combat system is simple and focuses on three main attacks: light attacks, heavy attacks and grabs. Wolverine can also use a special lunge move to quickly reach enemies. X-Men Origins was released in 2009 and was based on the movie X-Men Origins. The game was developed by Raven Software and published by Activision.
